As a band, we obviously play and perform music. To give you a better sense of who we are and what we do, we've assembled some resources for you to have a look at. New content is being added all the time, so stop by often!
As the old expression goes -- "Seeing is believing." We believe that is 100% accurate. So, rather than just tell you we make music as a band, we thought we'd show you! These videos are intended to give you a sense of what you'd experience with us, if you were at one of our live shows. We hope you enjoy them.
Act Naturally (Cover)
Buck Owens started his recording career doing "Sound Alike" records, performing covers in a manner and style substantially like the original artist. After doing this for some time, he finally found his voice and started recording his own songs
As one of the artists identified as helping to originate the "Bakersfield Sound," "Act Naturally" was an important release for Buck and is one of his most famous songs.
We enjoy the upbeat tempo and opportunity to craft harmony parts that convey the essence of and honor the original, while giving us the room to bring our uniqueness to each performance.
Folsom Prison Blues (Cover)
Folsom Prison Blues is one of Johnny Cash's best known songs. He wrote this song in 1953, based on material composed by Gordon Jenkins.
While he recorded it a number of different times, perhaps the best known of all of these was his live performance (and recording) of it at Folsom State Prison (Folsom, CA) in 1968.
We enjoy that this is one of the quintessential train songs and that it's so much fun to play!
Blue Eyes Crying In The Rain (Cover)
Even though this song is often thought of as being one of Willie Nelson's, he is only one of many to have covered this song!
This song was written by Fred Rose in 1947 and first recorded by the country legend Roy Acuff.
We enjoy the vocal range of the tune and the jazz-influenced phrasing that Willie used in his performance.
